Job summary

McWane Pipe & Industrial in Tyler, TX is seeking a Foundry Production Supervisor to lead hourly teams in safe, efficient production of cast iron products across foundry operations. You will plan schedules, oversee quality and cost controls, coordinate maintenance, and ensure safety policy compliance.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of manufacturing leadership, knowledge of melting/molding/finishing or pipe production, and a commitment to continuous improvement within The McWane Way.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of foundry operations preferred.
  • Willing to work 1st or 2nd shift as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hourly teams to meet safety, quality, and production standards.
  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate work to meet schedules and improve run rates.
  • Oversee melting, molding, finishing, and pipe operations; troubleshoot issues.
  • Coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize run times.
  • Ensure safety policies are followed and continuously improve processes.
  • Monitor timekeeping and production logs; maintain a clean, safe work area.

The Foundry Production Supervisor leads hourly teams to safely and efficiently produce high-quality cast iron products across multiple foundry operations. This role plans and executes production schedules, oversees quality and cost control, coordinates maintenance activities, and ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures.

Foundry Production Supervisor
Location:Tyler, TX
Pay:Based on Experience
Shift Days:Monday-Friday

What You'll Do
  • Safety leadership & compliance: Champion a safe work environment; enforce PPE usage; maintain clean, orderly work areas; and ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Shift leadership & team supervision: Direct, coach, and develop hourly team members to meet daily safety, training, quality, culture, and production standards.
  • Production execution: Plan, prioritize, and coordinate work to meet schedule commitments and achieve efficient, economical run rates; manage labor cost per ton.
  • General operations oversight: Supervise and support production activities across melting, molding, finishing, and pipe operations. Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently, troubleshoot issues, and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Quality assurance & continuous improvement: Maintain production and quality standards; recommend and assist in changing methods and processes to improve safety, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Maintenance coordination: Partner with Maintenance to inspect, repair, and maintain equipment and machinery to optimize run times and minimize downtime.
  • Timekeeping & administrative control: Monitor and authorize team members' time in the payroll system; complete required production logs and operational records.
  • Housekeeping and other duties: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area; perform other duties as assigned by department leadership.
Qualifications
  • Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Four (4) or more years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of foundry operations (melting, molding, finishing, or pipe production) preferred but not required.
  • Secondary schooling in an engineering field is preferred but not required.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality; ability to work assigned shifts and be available for both 1st and 2nd shift as needed.
  • Ability to always wear required PPE and follow safety rules/procedures.
