Tyler Coupling in Marshfield, MO is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to set up and operate a range of machine tools to produce precision metal parts and tools.
You will read blueprints, select tooling, heat treat and finish parts, inspect finished work, and maintain safe, clean work areas while collaborating with supervision.

The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of computer-controlled and mechanically controlled machine tools to produce precision metal parts, instruments, and tools.
1. Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, band saws, surface grinders, visual grinders, radial drill presses, bench grinders and various hand power tools used in machining, assembling and repairing metal parts, progressive dies, injection molds, tools and equipment. Receives instructions from Supervisor on work assignments.
2. Selects proper tool steel for any given tool and machine. Heat treat and grind to finished blueprint or old part specification.
3. Grinds and fits carbide die components and work with very critical tolerances.
4. Checks progressive dies and injection molds to determine repairs needed to assure product being made will meet required specifications.
5. Interprets blueprints, layouts, sketches and other complicated drawings as required. Uses knowledge and experience to take working stock and build dies or molds to produce various parts.
6. Inspects and measures all finished material for required specification.
7. Keeps work area clean, safe and orderly work areas at all times.
8. Performs other related miscellaneous duties as required.
