TEC/MFE in Midlothian, TX seeks a Texas-licensed optometrist for short-term clinic coverage at our flagship office. This 1099 independent contractor engagement runs October 5–28, 2026, Mondays–Wednesdays, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, for 12 clinic days.

The schedule is predictable with full technician support, no call or administrative burden, and no production quotas. You will perform comprehensive eye exams, refractions, dry eye management, and routine post-op evaluations using Nextech for charting.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Texas optometry license, therapeutic and glaucoma certified.
• Comfort with routine cataract and refractive post-op examinations.
• Interest or experience in ocular surface disease preferred.
• New graduates with an active Texas license are welcome.

Responsabilités

• Comprehensive and routine eye examinations.
• Refraction and contact lens evaluations and fittings.
• Dry eye and ocular surface disease management with staff support.
• Diagnosis and management of common anterior segment disease.
• Screening and triage for glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and cataract.
• Same-day chart closure in Nextech.
