Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a Gastroenterologist for 24-hour call coverage in Texas with both inpatient and outpatient rounding responsibilities. The role involves handling 4–6 patients daily with complex GI cases and performing ERCP, EUS, colonoscopy, PEG, liver biopsy, and related endoscopic procedures.

The position requires extensive GI procedural skills and the ability to manage admissions and endoscopy services across settings.

Qualifications

• Extensive procedural GI skills and experience.
• Ability to manage inpatient and outpatient GI cases.
• Experience with ERCP, EUS, PEG, and endoscopy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform 24-hour call shifts (7am–7am, Thursdays).
• See 4–6 patients per day with complex GI cases.
• Inpatient and outpatient rounding responsibilities.
• Manage 4–6 admissions per day.
• Handle esophageal dilatation, manometry, and liver biopsy as needed.
