Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a school athletic coach to lead participants in sport-specific skill development and to coordinate practice plans with the Head Coach and Athletic Director. The role requires collaboration to schedule intramural and interscholastic contests, and to oversee procurement of equipment and uniforms while maintaining records and safety standards.

The position also involves enforcing sportsmanlike conduct and partnering with the athletic leadership to address disciplinary issues

Responsibilities

• Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for achievement in the sport involved.
• Plans and schedules a regular program of practice with approval and direction of the Head Coach and Athletic Director (including revisions).
• Works closely with the head coach and athletic director in establishing a schedule for intramural and interscholastic contests (all revisions require prior approval by head coach and athletic director).
• Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms, in cooperation with the head coach and athletic director.
• Maintains necessary attendance forms, insurance records, and similar paperwork (as assigned).
• Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are present.
• Enforces disciplined and sportsmanlike behavior at all times, and establishes and oversees cooperation with the head coach, penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.
