Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a Twilight - Content Teacher for Fall 2026 to support a 10-week intensive credit recovery program for high school seniors. The role reports to the Office of Academics and Professional Learning and requires attending all planning meetings and training sessions.

The Twilight program runs Tue/Thu evenings, 4-7pm, with orientation on Sept 29 via Zoom. Pay is BTU Teacher Rate ($60.58) with compensation based on hours worked up to 90 hours per Twilight semester.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Massachusetts teaching license in Secondary ELA, Math, Science, or History.
• Current Boston Public Schools teacher.
• At least 1 year of professional teaching experience.
• Experience with BPS student information system, Aspen.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cognitively-demanding lessons, assignments and enrichment activities (planning outside regular hours).
• Differentiate instruction for all students to complete rigorous work.
• Establish a productive learning environment and classroom culture where all students are respected.
• Work with site coordinator to maintain timely student attendance and progress records.
• Collaborate with program staff to ensure outcomes are on track including academic and social-emotional development.
• Provide timely data to students, families, site coordinators and staff.
