Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB) in Baton Rouge seeks a TV Multimedia Specialist 1-3 (Camera Operator) to join the Production Department. The role involves collaborating with directors, anchors, and crews to capture high-quality footage for documentaries, studio, and live events.

The ideal candidate has hands-on camera experience, strong storytelling through visuals, and the ability to edit with Premiere while contributing basic graphics and staying current with technology and trends.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in television or video production, videography, or photography for print media.
• Six years of full-time experience in any field.
• A bachelor's degree.
• EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience; max 120 semester hours substitutes for four years.

Responsibilities

• Work with the filming director, production team, and anchors/reporters to ensure filmed scenes are high quality and relevant to our audience.
• Use the principles of film production to ensure proper lighting, visuals, sound, and camera angles.
• Provide alternate filming solutions, such as different camera angles or effects.
• Actively acquire and maintain camera equipment, including stands, gimbals, filters, and dollies.
• Edit with Adobe Premiere and create basic graphics.
• Keep up to date on the latest camera operating technologies and trends.
