Job summary

Catapult Learning in Glen Burnie, MD, is seeking a Lower Elementary Tutor for a part-time role (4 hours/week). The position runs Mondays and Thursdays 2:30-4:30pm, Oct 2026–Apr 2027, at Rippling Woods Elementary School. Tutors provide instructional services in reading, math, and writing using company curricula.

We value advocates who mentor students, collaborate with school staff, and communicate progress to families. Bachelor’s degree and FBI/BCI check required; teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Tutores must complete an FBI/BCI background check.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Unwavering belief that all children can learn.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services.
• Communicate with parents about student progress.
• Deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods.
• Attend training sessions and implement instructional strategies in readiness, reading, math and/or writing.
• Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans.
• Ensure student supervision and safe transitions.
• Maintain student forms and files per Company and regulatory requirements.
• Attend and document meetings with Supervisors, teachers, principals and parents.
• Maintain inventory of educational materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Lower Elementary Tutor- Part Time

Tutors will provide contracted instructional services with the necessary educational expertise in reading, mathematics, and writing for students.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and delivers prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students
• Communicate and conference with parents providing information on student progress
• Deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company
• Attend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills to students through the utilization of Company-designed materials and educational strategies.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Ensure supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from sessions.
• Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
• Attend and document meetings/training with Company Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
• Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
