Overview
Tutoring Korean language
Responsibilities
Reliability, timeliness and attention to detail.
Increasing knowledge of Korean 1010 and 1020, 2010,2020 and other Korean language related including teaching methods and the course textbook, materials, and assignments.
Increasing competence in tutoring, focusing on textbook integration, identifying student level of competence, and tailoring instruction to the student level, needs, and instructor expectations.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current student of SLCC.
Language teaching or tutoring experience.
Ability to communicate both in English and the language you will be tutoring.
Availability to attend the SLCC classes in the target language in conjunction with the approval of the course instructor.
