Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors seeks dedicated tutors to support San Diego area students from kindergarten through 12th grade. You will apply your subject expertise to align with the state curriculum and tailor instruction for each learner.

You’ll provide supplementary assignments, remedial and enrichment support, and maintain communication with parents regarding student progress. Flexible hours and a supportive environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with one of: CA teaching certificate, student teacher, 2+ years in private/charter classroom, university lecturer, or grad student with TA experience.
• Must be able to meet at least one criteria listed in Requirements.
• Experience in education settings desirable.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Requirements

A qualified applicant will have a bachelor's degree and will also meet at least one of the following criteria:

• You hold a valid California State teaching certificate or the equivalent thereof
• You are a current student teacher pursuing a teaching certificate
• You have two or more years of experience as a private or charter school classroom teacher.
• You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College
• You are a Master's/PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. University or College
