Job summary

Company Bridge Academy is seeking part-time in-person instructors in San Jose to lead after-school sessions for students from 1st through 12th grade. You will guide, coach, and engage learners in small groups (5-8 students) to build study habits and address knowledge gaps.

The role emphasizes math proficiency up to Algebra 1 and Academic English, with an expectation of dedication for a full school year. Training is provided and work hours are Mon–Thu 3:00–6:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Must enjoy interacting with children and engage them.
• Strong Math skills up to Algebra 1 and solid Academic English concepts.
• Not for high school students; require longer term commitment (minimum 1 school year).
• College students or graduates who can work about 3+ hours a day while studying.

Responsibilities

Company Bridge Academy serves Evergreen/Silver Creek communities in San Jose. We are a education/learning center and have been in business for over years. We tutor afterschool students ranging from 1st to 12th grade.

We are looking for instructor(s) who can guide/support/assist students to build strong study habits, identify their learning challenges and knowledge gaps to better support them with their homework, test preparation.

• 1. Lead a class for Elementary, Middle (mostly) & High school students.
• 2. Guide, coach, help to let kids understand concepts in a small class (5-8 kids)
• 3. Typical working hours: Mon.- Thurs. 3:00 - 6:30 pm- hours might be slightly change.
• 4. Paid Training: will be provided.

• 3.*Must be good at Math (up to Algebra 1 level) & Academic English concepts*
• 4. College students, college graduates, teaching credential program attendants, future teacher to be who want to work about 3+ hours a day while studying. This position is not for high school students
• This position is not TEMPORARY, but Longer TERM (minimum 1 school year commitment is needed).

Job Type: Part-time

Work Location: In person

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour.
