Job summary

Engenius Learning of Avalon Park in Orlando is seeking a part-time on-site Tutor to support students with homework, test prep, and skill-building at our Avalon Park center.

You will work with diverse learners, track progress, communicate with families, and adapt teaching to individual needs while traveling to the Avalon Park location after school hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to explain academic concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
• Strong skills in organizing lessons, managing time, and maintaining structured study plans for students.
• Comfort supporting students in core subjects (math, reading, writing, science) at various grade levels.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, encouraging approach to student support.
• Ability to use basic technology for virtual sessions, scheduling, and tracking student progress.
• Previous tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience preferred.
• High school diploma required; college coursework or degree in education or related field is a plus.
• Availability to work after-school hours and travel to Avalon Park for in-person sessions.
