• Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in Education, Mathematics, or English; strong test scores are a plus.

Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Tutor role based in Glenview, IL. The Tutor will provide individualized and small-group instruction in standardized test preparation (ACT, SAT, AP), following Elite Academy USA’s curriculum and teaching methods. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lessons, delivering engaging instructional sessions, assigning and reviewing practice work, tracking student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The Tutor will communicate regularly with students and families about performance and goals, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with staff to support a positive learning environment. Evening and weekend availability may be required based on student scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• Strong subject matter expertise in relevant ACT, SAT, and AP content areas (e.g., Math, English, Science, Reading, and applicable AP subjects).
• Demonstrated tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience with middle school or high school students in academic or test-prep settings.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly, adapt teaching methods to different learning styles, and develop structured lesson plans.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills, with attention to detail in tracking student progress.
• Bachelor’s degree (or current enrollment in a degree program) in Education, Mathematics, English, or a related field; strong standardized test scores are a plus.
• Professional, reliable, and patient approach, with a commitment to educational equity and a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
• Willingness to work on-site in Glenview, IL during after-school, evening, and weekend hours as needed.
