Job summary

Vistar is seeking a Turret Operator to safely operate turret forklifts, put away, retrieve, and move product across a temperature-controlled warehouse. You will contribute to inventory accuracy, maximize space, and uphold safety and operational standards in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of navigating RF scanners and warehouse technology. Relevant experience, certification, and willingness to work overtime are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of warehouse experience; turret forklift experience preferred.
• Able to read product labels and basic documentation; learn WMS.
• Must be certified to operate turret forklift before independent use.
• Able to pass post-offer drug test and background check.
• Willing to work overtime and in multi-temperature environments.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate turret forklifts and other warehouse equipment as trained.
• Perform put-away, replenishment, picking, staging, and movement of products.
• Retrieve products from elevated racks with controlled equipment use.
• Identify product, locations, quantities, and pallet information accurately.
• Use RF scanners and WMS to complete transactions and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Maintain safe pallet placement and secure storage in racks.
• Report damaged or unsafe conditions and follow safety procedures.
• Assist with inventory counts and general receiving/shipping tasks.
