Job summary

ID Logistics US in the United States is seeking a Turret Driver to operate turret equipment in our distribution center, moving and stacking goods with accuracy and safety. You will handle loading/unloading and inventory control while maintaining equipment readiness.

The role requires 2–3 years of shipping/receiving experience, OSHA certifications, and the ability to work a Mon–Fri shift with some flexibility during training. This is a non-exempt, on-site position.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years shipping/receiving and inventory control experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA).
  • Must wear personal protective equipment per safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using powered equipment.
  • Inspect equipment daily and maintain it to safety standards.
  • Unload inbound shipments and store products properly.
  • Pull and prepare products for shipment with accuracy.
  • Move products into rail cars, trailers, or containers safely.
  • Keep inventory records and assist in physical inventories.

Job Description
Role and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the ___Production Supervisor__, the Turret Driver Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in distribution center or storage yard.

Compensation: $21.00 per hour

Schedule: Mon - Fri./ 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM. Must be flexible and available during the training period to work adjusted schedules as needed

Essential Functions Of The Job
  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment. Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect assigned equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards.
  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas.
  • Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded and shipped.
  • Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Follow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy: load count, stability of product, and that all products are loaded and unloaded safely.
  • Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions, especially Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance.
  • Perform good housekeeping practices, clean as you go process.
  • Conduct operations and equipment in a manner that promotes safety and report unsafe conditions that can't be self-corrected to the leadership team.
  • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
  • Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education And Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Work experience in production or warehouse environment
  • 2-3 years' experience of shipping /Receiving and Inventory Control Responsibilities and processes.
Required Skills And Abilities
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.).
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies.
Preferred Not Required Qualifications
  • 2 years of Turret driving experience.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP Warehouse Management Systems
