Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Mobile Maintenance Technician to join Turquoise Ridge operations. You will maintain a high standard of housekeeping and a safe workplace for all employees, contractors, and vendors, while supporting a rotating night/day schedule.

The role involves servicing drills, bolters, trucks, muckers, and other underground mobile equipment, with emphasis on teamwork and continuous improvement in a dynamic mining environment.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of underground mobile maintenance experience.
• Willingness to learn with strong knowledge/skills in maintenance and repair of underground mobile mining equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform mobile maintenance on drills, bolters, trucks, muckers, and other equipment.
• Own and maintain personal tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Read hydraulic and electrical schematics and generate parts lists as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in all work areas.
• Collaborate with frontline supervisor to resolve maintenance issues.
• Rotate across night and day shifts as required.

Underground Mobile Maintenance Technician Mechanical Cutting - Turquoise Ridge (7 on 7 off)

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Underground Mobile Maintenance Technician to join our Turquoise Ridge operations. The successful candidate will maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas to provide a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, contractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform all mobile maintenance duties on mobile mining equipment, including but not limited to drills, bolters, trucks, muckers, shotcrete mixers, the Sandvik MH620 Road Header, underground haul trucks, loaders, shotcrete sprayers, scissor lifts, forklifts, and other medium and light duty equipment.
• Own and maintain personal hand tools and some power tools such as drills, air hammers, and impacts, keeping them functional and clean.
• Own and maintain some diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and hydraulic pressure testing equipment, preferred.
• Ability to perform work in warm and humid temperatures.
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform repair work in tight spaces.
• Stay on task, working safely and efficiently to facilitate maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with the frontline supervisor for reasonable solutions to problems that arise during tasks.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas to provide a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, contractors, and vendors.
• Establish the work relationships necessary to efficiently execute daily maintenance activities through his/her assigned zone.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of underground mobile maintenance experience, including road headers, preferred.
• Ability to perform welding, cutting, grinding, and hard facing, preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics, preferred.
• Ability to research replacement parts related to equipment and generate parts lists for repairs, preferred.
• Willingness to learn, with strong knowledge/skills in the maintenance and repair of all underground mobile mining equipment required.
• Proven safe work record required.
• Willing to work in a team-based maintenance organization required.
• Strong dedication to safety and courageous leadership required.
