Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Autonomous Systems Engineer to support, optimize, and advance autonomous haulage and mobile equipment systems at active mining operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems or related field.
• 3–7+ years of mining operations or automation experience.
• Experience with autonomous haulage systems or fleet management is preferred.
• Knowledge of control systems, networking, GPS, LiDAR, radar, and industrial protocols.
• Experience with data analysis tools and performance monitoring systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
• Ability to work in field-based mining environments and travel as required.

The Autonomous Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting, optimizing, and advancing autonomous haulage and mobile equipment systems within active mining operations. • Monitor system performance, identify gaps, and implement optimization strategies to improve productivity and reliability


• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and integration issues in collaboration with OEMs and site teams


• Analyze operational data to drive performance improvements and enhance system utilization


• Support change management and operational readiness initiatives related to autonomous systems


• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and training materials


• Provide technical guidance and training to operations and maintenance teams

• 3–7+ years of experience in mining operations, mobile equipment systems, industrial automation, or related fieldpreferred


• Experience with autonomous haulage systems (AHS) or fleet management systems stronglypreferred


• Working knowledge of control systems, networking, GPS, LiDAR, radar, and industrial communication protocols preferred


• Experience with data analysis tools and performance monitoring systemspreferred
