Jacobs in Robstown, TX is seeking a Turnover Manager for an onsite data center project. You will lead a diverse team, coordinate field verification and documentation of systems installed by Construction, and guide walkdowns on an active site with clients and subcontractors to ensure punch lists and testing meet the project scope.

You’ll read P&IDs and drawings, implement turnover programs across sites, standardize processes, and assemble turnover packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of Construction Turnover experience on Pharma/Biotech or Data Center projects.
• Experience leading walkdowns with sub-contractors and clients to drive punch list closure.
• Experience in a supervisory role with cross-discipline coordination.
• Onsite work requiring PPE and physical activity.

We're seeking to hire a Turnover Manager for an onsite role at our data center project in Robstown, TX

As a Turnover Manager you'll be responsible for managing a diverse team, coordinating and facilitating the field verification and documentation of systems installed by Construction. This will be achieved through leadership of walkdown activities on an active construction site, guiding construction, subcontractor, and client personnel through the scope of multi-disciplinary systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for active collaboration with field Quality and sub-contractors, ensuring adherence to testing and documentation requirements, and confirming the completion of pre-commissioning activities such as megger and continuity, testing and balancing, chemical cleaning and flushing, passivation, and pressure testing. You will also utilize the ACC digital platform for a variety of activities, including punchlist entry and tracking, reviews of system testing, and the assembly of construction turnover packages. In coordination with the project controls and construction teams, you will also provide a planned and documented approach for the final turnover of facilities, systems, and equipment to the CQV team in accordance with the P6 schedule. Successful management experience in a fast-paced construction environment is desired.

You and your team will be accountable for coordinating with the construction and CQV groups to provide logical system and partial system boundaries that facilitate timely installation, construction completion, and turnover activities. You'll be responsible for reading P&ID's, line diagrams, panel layouts, and CSA drawings as per system scope requirements. Coordination with the field construction quality team to resolve issues identified on system walkdowns is a key component of this role, fostering a positive and problem-solving culture. In this capacity, you will also be responsible for implementing and standardizing turnover programs across multiple sites, ensuring consistency in processes, documentation, and quality standards while adapting to site-specific requirements. This will allow you and your team to lead the timely transfer of care, custody, and control of systems to our clients.

Here’s what you’ll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of Construction Turnover experience on Pharma/Biotechnology projects, Data Center projects or equivalent
• Experience leading walkdowns with sub-contractors and clients to drive punch list closure
• Experience of success in a supervisory role, with a focus on cross-discipline coordination
• Ability to spend continuous hours on an active construction site. This would include the use of PPE, traversing stairs, standing meetings, and other physical exertion
• Required to be onsite for the duration of this work
• OSHA 10 CertificationFamiliarity with GDP Requirements
• Experience implementing turnover programs across multiple sites simultaneously
• Ability to standardize processes and procedures across different geographical locations
• Track record of coordinating multi-site teams and ensuring consistency in deliverables
• Experience traveling between project sites to provide oversight and support

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Ability to read construction drawings (P&ID's, Single Lines, Isometrics, etc.)
• Understanding of systems-based scoping and turnover processes
• Knowledge of Construction Turnover Package assembly
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud

The base salary range for this position is $105,200.00 to $144,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
