Job summary

manpowe is seeking a Turnaround Planner (Control Valves) in Texas for a temporary, on-site role with a leading industrial gases and chemicals company. You will develop work scopes, perform field walks, and manage valve overhauls within a collaborative Turnaround and Maintenance team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a Control Valve Planner and strong knowledge of P&IDs, BOMs, QA/QC, and planning tools such as SAP and Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Control Valve Planner and 5+ years of valve technician maintenance experience.
• Ability to read P&IDs, valve specs, location plans, and BOMs.
• Experience developing work packages, test packages, preventive maintenance plans, and QA/QC docs.

Responsibilities

• Develop control valve work scopes and create detailed work packages for turnaround and maintenance activities.
• Conduct valve surveys, site verifications, and field walks to ensure accurate planning.
• Maintain planning activities in Cleopatra, including manpower, durations, sequencing, and discipline assignments.
• Coordinate materials, review BOMs, expedite parts, and ensure equipment availability for valve overhauls.
• Support turnaround execution with schedule updates, QA/QC reviews, closeout documentation, and risk management.

As a Turnaround Planner (Control Valves), you will be part of the Turnaround and Maintenance team supporting operations, engineering, and maintenance groups. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What’s the Job?
