Job summary

Turner Industries seeks a Boilermaker for a turnaround position in Kingsport, TN. The role involves assembling and disassembling boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels per blueprints. It is a non-exempt position reporting to a Foreman with per diem available for eligible workers.

Responsibilities include rigging coordination, aligning components, and safety compliance while performing fabrications and repairs in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent is required.
• 1–4 years of boilermaker experience depending on level.
• Proficiency with construction tools (grinders, oxy/acetylene torch).
• Rigging experience is required.
• National Certification preferred (may be required by client).
• Post offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and policy acknowledgment.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark reference points for columns and plates on foundation.
• Attach rigging or signal crane operator to lift parts to position.
• Line up structures to assemble boiler frame, tanks or vats.
• Hammer, flame-cut, file or grind edges to fit parts.
• Bolt structures and sections together.
• Install trays, manholes, valves, gauges and feedwater connections.
• Assist in testing assembled vessels.
