Job summary

Mercor is seeking experienced musicians to evaluate generative musical AI models in collaboration with a leading AI lab. You will assess model outputs across categories of music in your bilingual language, focusing on lyrics, voice generation, and audio quality.

The role requires musical expertise, proficiency in Turkish and English, and the ability to annotate songs with detailed taxonomy while working part-time for up to six months.

Qualifications

• Evidence of understanding musical performance, theory, and lyrics.
• Experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or sound mixer for 3+ years.

You will assess model outputs across in different categories of music in your bilingual language.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI model output lyrics, voice generation, and other standards


• Score quality of musical training data


• Experience writing music in the domain language listed in the title


• Able to understand directions in English language


• Rate AI-generated music samples head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality, using audio-engineering terminology


• Annotate songs in detail: genre/sub-genre classification, song structure, vocal/instrumental characteristics via a structured taxonomy

Ideal Qualifications

• Experience working as a music producer, audio engineer, and/or sound mixer for at least 3+ years


• Evidence of understanding musical performance, theory, and lyrics


• College degree in music, involving both performance, theory, and lyrics


• Past experience writing lyrical music in the domain language listed in the title


• Native or near-native proficiency in both Turkish and English

Project Timeline
