Job summary

Great Oaks Landscape Associates is seeking a Turf & Tree Fertilization Specialist to apply fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and other treatments to lawns, trees, and shrubs. The role involves outdoor work, operating application equipment, and delivering excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid driver's license, be able to lift 50-75 pounds, and preferably hold a state pesticide license or be able to obtain one after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• State pesticide/applicator license preferred (or ability to obtain after hire).
• Experience in lawn care, landscaping, arboriculture, or turf management is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizers, weed control, insecticides, and fungicides to lawns, trees, and shrubs.
• Diagnose common turf, tree, and shrub health issues.
• Identify weeds, insects, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
• Operate and maintain spreaders, sprayers, and application equipment.
• Keep accurate records of treatments and products used.
• Follow all safety regulations and label instructions for chemical applications.
• Communicate treatment recommendations and lawn care advice to customers.
• Inspect properties and recommend additional services when needed.
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply fertilizers, weed control, insecticides, and fungicides to lawns, trees, and shrubs.
• Diagnose common turf, tree, and shrub health issues.
• Identify weeds, insects, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
• Operate and maintain spreaders, sprayers, and application equipment.
• Keep accurate records of treatments and products used.

Typical Pay Range (U.S.)

• Experienced Technician: $22+ based on experience
