Pioneer Motor Bearing Co. in Kings Mountain, NC, is seeking an skilled machinist to produce and re-manufacture fluid film bearings, seals, and related parts. You will work from drawings and verbal direction, setting up mills, lathes, and grinders to achieve tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Technical trade education or 2+ years machining experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical documents and specs/regulations.
• Strong applied math: proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, algebra, geometry.
• Experience with turning, milling, drilling, abrasives, and surface finishes.

Responsibilities

• Produce and inspect complex parts and tooling from drawings, sketches, and verbal direction.
• Plan and execute setups; perform minor equipment repairs and adjustments.
• Use micrometers, calipers, surface gauges, and dial indicators to hold tight tolerances.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area while meeting quality and efficiency targets.
