Job summary

Solaris Energy Infrastructure, Inc. in Midland, TX, is seeking a Turbine Specialist to ensure safe, efficient operation of electrical turbines, optimize performance and lead maintenance procedures.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, oversee installation of new turbines, monitor performance with diagnostic tools, and train junior technicians while adhering to safety standards. Travel to customer sites may be required, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2+ years of gas turbine controls, instrumentation or electrical experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of turbines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues in turbine systems.
• Oversee and assist in the installation of new turbines and related equipment.
• Monitor turbine performance using diagnostic tools and software to identify inefficiencies or potential problems.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and performance metrics.
• Ensure turbine operations comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Provide technical support and expertise to other engineering and operational staff.
• Implement upgrades and modifications to improve turbine efficiency and reliability.
• Train and mentor junior technicians and other staff on turbine operation and maintenance procedures.
• Follow and enforce strict safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

About the Opportunity

As a Turbine Specialist, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our electrical turbines. Your role involves optimizing performance, maintaining system integrity, troubleshooting issues, and implementing maintenance procedures. You will also assist in training new hires and may travel to customer sites to ensure optimal equipment performance and provide support.

Experience/Education
