Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of propulsion system design, analysis, or testing.
  • Expertise in propulsion fundamentals, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
  • Experience with propulsion modeling and simulation tools (NPSS, CFD, MATLAB, Python).
  • Independent and collaborative work track record with strong communication.
  • Citizenship and interim/secret clearance eligibility for DoD work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead propulsion analysis and design for low-speed applications, including cycle analysis and performance modeling.
  • Plan and oversee wind tunnel tests, ground-based experiments, and hardware evaluations.
  • Develop and validate propulsion system models for design trades and system assessments.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide propulsion expertise and experimental guidance.
  • Present findings and recommendations to sponsors, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Contribute to research initiatives in advanced propulsion technologies and hybrid concepts.
  • Use propulsion tools to conduct trade studies and concept designs for weapon systems.
