Job summary

The Boring Company is seeking a Test Technician to join our engineering team and support tunneling experiments designed to increase speed and reliability. You will maintain and upgrade test stands and equipment, perform measurements, collect data, and provide feedback to drive future experiments and costs down.

Flex hours and occasional field support are expected, with collaboration across management, technicians, and engineers to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery on all tunneling test

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years maintenance technician experience in production/manufacturing.
• 2+ years experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical repair.
• Extreme diligence while collecting and recording data.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments to increase tunneling speed and reduce costs.
• Maintain and upgrade test stands and testing equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair and overhaul mechanical and electrical systems on test stands.
• Drive general shop equipment (forklifts, boom lifts, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with management, technicians, and engineering staff.
• Check work against specifications and ensure completion per requirements.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.
• Set up safety equipment and work platforms.
