Job summary

LJB Inc. in Denver, CO invites a Tunnel Engineering Intern to work with our Underground Services team on real tunnel and trenchless projects. You will learn from experienced engineers while producing deliverables and gaining exposure to geotechnical, structural, and civil design tasks.

The role supports field and office work with weekday hours and occasional night or weekend shifts. Candidates are junior or senior undergraduates in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, or related fields, with 0–3

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, or related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant internship/co-op experience.
• Excellent problem solving, decision making, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical deliverables according to client specifications with guidance.
• Prepare construction plans, calculations, and design reports with appropriate guidance.
• Communicate technical information clearly with owners, contractors and stakeholders.
• Produce tunnel, geotechnical, and structural calculations for tunnel/trenchless design.
• Assist with geotechnical and structural design and field observations.
