Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Primary Care team in Tulsa, OK. You will greet patients, take vital signs, and assist providers during exams, while documenting encounters in real time to ensure accurate records.

The role also involves maintaining clean exam rooms, stocking supplies, and handling administrative tasks to support smooth clinic operations and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date.
• Medical Assistant within 6 months (180 days) of hire or transfer date.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative experience.
• MA certification/registration preferred (through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA).
• Must be CMA/RMA or in school to obtain CMA/RMA.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, prepare them for examinations, obtain vital signs, and assist providers during clinical treatments.
• Document symptoms, diagnoses, prescriptions, and orders in real time to ensure high-quality medical records.
• Maintain exam room readiness with stocked supplies for efficient treatments.
• Handle essential administrative tasks and manage communications to keep patient data organized.
