Job summary

Angry Chickz is seeking a Crew Member with cook or kitchen experience to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will contribute to cooking, food prep, and plating while ensuring quality and efficiency across stations.

The role requires reliable English communication and the ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Training will be provided to handle fry, cashier, prep, seasoning, breading and expo tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook or similar role within a restaurant or food service setting.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food with care to ensure quality, flavor, and presentation.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Set up and sanitize stations on the line.
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment (grills, fryers, stoves, griddles).
• Label and rotate food products to ensure freshness and safety.
• Follow dietary requirements for meals as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include the following, other duties may be assigned)

• Knowledge of company recipes and preparation
• Ensure food is prepared with care and of the best quality, flavor, and presentation.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Responsible for setup and sanitation of the stations on the line
• Maintain clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
• Maintaining organization, proper labeling, and rotation of food products
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, stoves, or griddles.
• Support the dietary department by following specific dietary requirements for meals
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Qualifications

Work Attire: Wear Angry Chickz uniform as well as non-slip shoes required by safety department.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is required
Language Ability: Able to speak clearly and comprehend directions in English. Able to read English. Ability to read/speak Spanish is extremely helpful but not mandatory.
Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of the job the cook is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and bend and twist at the waist
• Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Use of hands to grasp tools such as a knife, spatula, ladle, and other utensils to prepare food
• Repetitive hand use
• Reaching for items below waist level (retrieving food items from walk-in cooler or drawers), between waist and shoulder level (washing dishes, placing plates on shelf), and above shoulder (retrieving plates or containers from shelves)
• Exposure to extreme cold (walk-in cooler), extreme heat (stove, oven), moisture (water, steam, dishwasher), and dust, fumes, or chemicals (cleaning solutions)
