Job summary

Engineered Floors, LLC is seeking a Tufting Apprentice to assist in servicing and repairing tufting machines and equipment, preparing for advancement to a Tufting Maintenance Technician role.

The role involves troubleshooting and fixing tufting machines, assisting with setup, operating lines, reblading, rebuilding, and ensuring first quality carpet while notifying supervisors of issues. Overtime and safety training including Lockout/Tagout may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and do basic addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
• Computer knowledge or data entry skills are a necessary part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and then fix tufting machines, warpers, and related equipment.
• Assist with correct style set-up in tufting machines.
• Help machine operators with setup when needed.
• Assist with machine lines, blades, loopers, and related tasks.
• Reblade and rehook machines as necessary.
• Rebuild and overhaul machines as necessary.
• Ensure first quality carpet and notify supervisor of any quality issue.
