Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to advance scientific skills and contribute to projects identifying mechanisms of protective immunity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Qualifications

• Doctorate degree (PhD/DVM/MD) in specialty area from an accredited university training program.
• Experience using basic research techniques of specialty area.
• Previous experience conducting research in the pediatric arena (preferred).
• Experience in protocol and manuscript development and in grant writing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop scientific skills appropriate for a postdoctoral training position.
• Carry out research and development activities supporting projects to identify mechanisms or protective immunity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
• Translate research findings into the rationale design of an effective vaccine.
• Develop and review protocols.
• Collect and analyze data.
• Prepare manuscripts and fellowship applications.
• Train in the conduct of immunology and infectious disease research.
