Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co (USA), Inc. is seeking mill welders to join a three-person mill team in Birmingham, AL. This role focuses on keeping mills fed, following splices, and recording production data while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have welding experience (stick welding a plus), mechanical inclination, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; a background check and drug test are required.

• Experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Experience performing quality checks on material.
• Prior welding experience; stick welding is a strong asset.
• Ability to work on a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Mechanical inclination.
• Criminal Background Check & Drug Test

Responsibilities

• Be part of a three-person mill team to ensure operation is completed safely and meets quality standards.
• Keep mills fed with material.
• Follow material splices to ensure that they do not reach a customer.
• Perform administrative tasks as it pertains to production and complete all production records accurately.
• Monitor quality on the tube mill.
• Assist in mill changeovers, 5s and preventative maintenance duties.
