Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Tubular Components in Walbridge, Ohio has an immediate opening for a Tube Mill Entry Level Operator on 2nd shift. You will monitor, maintain, and operate the off loader and packaging sections, ensuring tubing is off loaded and packaged per customer requirements.

Responsibilities include hand stacking, bundling, quality inspection, and basic changeovers. Must lift up to 40 lbs, read safety procedures, and have a strong attendance/safety record.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand safety and position procedures.
• Proven attendance and safety records are essential.

Responsibilities

• Offload, hand stack, and package steel tubing manually.
• Assemble bundles to protect product from damage.
• Monitor auto off loaders to ensure tubes are offloading correctly.
• Inspect finished goods and reject non-conforming product.
• Visually inspect tubing for quality defects.
• Use measuring devices to verify tubing dimensions.
• Repack tubing into bundles and band as required by customers.
• Perform changeovers and set up for production runs.
• Other duties as assigned.
