About the roleShape precision metal tube components from start to finish. As a Tube End-Forming Machine Operator, you will set up and run presses, spinning machines, and forming equipment to produce accurate tube ends across scheduled production lots, while keeping communication flowing with your teammates and maintaining a safe, orderly workspace.A day in the lifeYou clock in, review the production lot packet, and confirm tooling and material. You interpret blueprint specs and measurements, decide on the right machine and method, then set up and dial in the equipment. As parts run, you watch the process closely, verify dimensions with gauges, calipers, and tape measure, and make fine adjustments to hold tolerance. You deburr, break edges, and remove rust or scale, tagging any nonconforming pieces and documenting everything before handing off to the next department. Throughout the shift, you keep the cell clean, equipment safe, and communication clear. What you will doRun assigned machine operations to form tube ends using presses, spinning machines, and other forming equipment.Read and apply job specifications (prints, calipers, tape measurements) to determine machine settings and material needs.Select appropriate equipment and forming methods based on requirements.Set up, adjust, and operate machinery to produce parts to print.Keep equipment in safe working condition and follow established safety practices.Deliver consistent results that meet quality standards on every production lot.Monitor machine performance and product quality; detect defects or malfunctions early.Measure parts against drawings and tolerances using proper inspection tools to confirm process accuracy.Deburr and remove sharp edges, rust, and scale from workpieces.Inspect finished pieces to verify accuracy and uncover flaws.Identify, tag, and remove nonconforming materials from the process.Complete all required production and inspection paperwork accurately and on time.Coordinate with other departments regarding production runs and priorities.Keep work areas clean, organized, and audit-ready.Follow all company rules, procedures, and policies.Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. What you bringConfident tape measure reading and use of calipers/gauges.Hands-on deburring experience. Background working in a manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints. How you workSafety-focused, quality-driven, and detail-oriented.Clear communicator who collaborates well across shifts and departments.Organized and disciplined with housekeeping and documentation.
