Job summary

IHH Healthcare Bhd is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join our operating theatre support team. You will coordinate and prepare instrument sets and packs for procedures, ensuring decontamination and sterility standards are met.

In this role, you will perform decontamination, washing, packing, and sterilization; maintain instrument supplies; and document quality checks, reporting any issues to the Manager.

Qualifications

• GCE 'N' Level or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, washing, cleaning, packing and sterilizing instruments.
• Prepare instruments and instrument sets for sterilization according to established policies and procedures.
• Perform biological and chemical monitoring and documentation in accordance with quality assurance standard.
• Maintain adequate supply of instruments, instrument sets and consumables for daily OT usage.
• Maintain the integrity of the sterile instruments, instrument sets and packs from storage to usage.
• Maintain cleanliness of the environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Manager/Nurse Manager.

The Role

Provides co-ordination and support to the surgical team by ensuring the availability of instrument sets, packs and consumables, including the process from decontamination to sterilization.

• Maintain the integrity of the sterile instruments, instrument sets and packs from storage to usage.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum qualification GCE ‘N’ Level preferred.
• At least 1-2 years related experience will be of added advantage.
