Insight Global is seeking a Systems Administrator to sit at Fort Meade. This individual will operate within a fully isolated, air-gapped environment, managing enterprise infrastructure across Windows and Linux systems. The role requires a strong focus on security and compliance, including implementation of STIGs and NIST standards, as well as hands‑on support with virtualization, storage, and system monitoring tools. The ideal candidate thrives in restricted environments, understands offline patching and system maintenance processes, and is comfortable working with physical hardware and secure data handling procedures. This is a mission‑critical role supporting national security initiatives, offering a stable long‑term opportunity for cleared professionals.

Compensation:

$40/hr to $50/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• DoD 8140 – 451 System Admin certification (Sec+, SSCP, GSEC, SecX, or relevant BS in Computer Science)
• Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of Systems Administration experience
• Strong experience with Windows Server (2019/2022/2025)
• Experience with enterprise Linux environments
• Hands‑on experience with VMware vSphere and virtualization clusters
• Experience with SAN/NAS storage management
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, NIST guidelines
• Scripting/automation with PowerShell or Ansible
• Experience managing offline repositories, patching, and secure update processes in isolated environments
• Experience administering Active Directory in restricted or air‑gapped networks Azure certifications (DP-300, AZ-305, Microsoft Admin Expert)
• Experience with SIEM tools (especially SolarWinds in air‑gapped environments)
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
• Experience integrating cybersecurity tools and systems
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ticketing tools
• ITIL v3 Foundation certification
