Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Space Systems Engineer with 8+ years in the design, development, and deployment of space systems within the USSF or DoD mission space. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, drive mission analyses, and oversee system-of-systems integration for current and future capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in design, development, and deployment of space systems in USSF/DoD mission space.
• Strong foundation in systems engineering, mission analysis, and system-of-systems integration.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams of government, SETA, FFRDC, and contractor personnel.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with JIRA/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and integration of cutting-edge space capabilities across current and future systems.
• Perform mission engineering analysis and evaluate DRM risks, issues, and gaps (RIGs/RIGOs).
• Conduct system-level capability reviews and recommend solutions to close mission-critical gaps.
• Support war room planning, capability epoch development, and kill chain assessments to inform enterprise decisions.
• Develop enterprise requirements for high-priority space programs.
• Assess policy and technical drivers impacting system design, integration, and interoperability.
• Collaborate with SWAC, S2/S4/S6, Space Command, CCIB, and PEO offices to deliver integrated SATCOM, PNT, Missile Warning, TacISR, Launch, and BMC3 solutions.
• Prepare and present briefings, white papers, and strategic roadmaps to senior leadership.
