Job summary

Kraken Networks Inc. is seeking a Splunk Solutions Expert (Splunk SME) in Chantilly, VA. The role focuses on managing the Splunk Platform, building applications, and integrating Splunk with services like ServiceNow.

You will design, develop, and maintain dashboards and alerts while collaborating in a Scrum environment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Splunk, a TS/SCI clearance, and a Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
• 5+ years experience supporting IT systems and Splunk platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Current Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification.
• Design, develop, and implement new features for Splunk products.
• Experience designing and maintaining Splunk solutions including Splunk Enterprise, SPL, and IT Service Intelligence.
• Knowledge of Linux security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Service-oriented mindset and strong collaboration.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Splunk solutions for IT service intelligence, operational insight, security, and BI.
• Maintain Splunk infrastructure including security updates and patching.
• Develop and maintain Splunk dashboards and alerts for IT monitoring.
• Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot issues using Splunk.
• Work with developers and Scrum Master to communicate status and blockers.
• Stay up-to-date with Splunk releases and best practices.
• Provide training and support to IT staff on Splunk usage.
