Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Special Security Support Specialist to serve as a security SME for Treasury-related SCIF operations and access control. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency documentation.

The position involves managing USAccess (HSPD-12), handling sensitive information, and enforcing federal security regulations across multiple SCIF spaces. Strong customer service and security admin experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree desired.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience providing Physical Security support.
• Strong customer service and expertise of personnel security administration support, including manuals, regulations, and OPM clearance procedures.
• Knowledge of regulations governing Federal personnel and physical security programs (e.g., 5 CFR 731/732, EO 12968, EO 13467, EO 13764, 32 CFR 2001/2003, ICD/ICS 700 Series).
• Active TS/SCI Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a Special Security subject matter expert providing technical guidance and interprets security policy guidance.
• Serve in the Registrar / Activator role for the USAccess (HSPD-12) system to enroll, print, activate, and issue PIV cards and perform PIN resets and certificate updates.
• Assist with management and security operation of multiple SCIFs.
• Process account requests for personnel to gain access to classified systems.
• Assist with protection of SCI including document control, classification, transport, records management, and destruction.
• Verify visitor clearance information for access to secure areas/materials.
• Assist with investigations of security infractions/violations and recommend corrective actions.
