Job summary

cFocus Software seeks a Software Developer to join our program supporting the United States Air Force (USAF). This on-site role is in Linthicum Heights, MD and requires an Active TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• B.S. Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining enterprise software.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting for the application environment.
• Ability to translate requirements into maintainable code and interfaces.
• Experience with API development, data exchange, version control, debugging, and automated testing.
• Understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, deployment automation, IaC, CaC, and configuration control.
• Knowledge of secure coding, access controls, vulnerability remediation, and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and maintain technical documentation.
• Strong collaboration and communication with architects, developers, operations, and cybersecurity teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze approved requirements and designs; develop features, services, and integrations.
• Write, review, test, debug, and maintain code and scripts using approved technologies.
• Develop, document, test, and maintain APIs and data-sharing interfaces.
• Integrate applications across cloud and on-prem environments; coordinate interfaces.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and versioned artifacts with security controls.
• Implement IaC and CaC deployment automation per approved designs.
• Conduct software integration and testing; resolve defects and prepare government-ready solutions.
• Maintain lifecycle traceability among requirements, code, configurations, tests, and releases.
• Develop automation for STIG requirements and secure configurations; coordinate with cybersecurity.
• Support automated vulnerability scanning; analyze findings and implement fixes.
• Implement logging, monitoring, observability, alerts; troubleshoot performance and availability.
• Maintain baselines and change records; use repositories and cybersecurity evaluations before production changes.
• Provide evidence and monitoring data supporting RMF, ATO, and continuous ATO activities.
• Support tech debt assessment and remediation; document legacy code and data-schema issues.
• Research AI opportunities in CI/CD; propose options and integrate with government approval.
• Prepare design and deployment instructions; assist incident response with logs and corrective actions.
