Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist III/IV to administer and ensure compliance of security clearances for government customers. You will support on-site security actions and maintain records in Crystal City, VA, working full-time in a rigorous, regulated environment.

Responsibilities include processing clearances, indoctrinations, debriefings, and reporting; coordinating with management; and providing guidance on polygraph and investigative procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 3 years experience for Specialist III, 5 years for IV.

Responsibilities

• Process security clearances and access per government regulations and track submissions.
• Administer and enforce company and government security policies and procedures.
• Conduct SCI and collateral indoctrination briefings and debriefings.
• Coordinate with management to obtain information for clearance processing.
• Maintain clearance records, tracking, and metrics.
• Counsel employees on polygraph and background investigation processes.
• Handle PII and report sensitive information to government customers.
• Interface with background investigators for reinvestigations.
• Assist in designing and delivering security training and briefings.
• Submit incident reports and guide employees on clearance issues.
• Perform internal self-inspections and audits per regulations.
• Interact with government customers, contractors, employees and management.
