Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking an ISSO to lead planning, execution, and maintenance of RMF-based accreditation to achieve an Authority to Operate. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop security documentation and assessments, manage risk, and ensure continuous monitoring for compliance.

Ideal candidates have RMF/ATO experience, strong writing and communication skills, and a TS/SCI CI Poly clearance on day one. This role supports DoD/IC and government-related security programs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading one or more systems through RMF ATO.
• Self-starter capable of leading high-priority, high-visibility tasks.
• Strong technical writing, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills to deliver authorization objectives.
• Must possess strong knowledge of NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53 Rev.5, DoD & IC authorization processes.
• Must have Security+ certification.
• Must have TS/SCI CI Poly security clearance on day 1.
• Experience with risk management, security control implementation, vulnerability management, continuous monitoring, and POA&M management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and maintain system accreditation and authorization activities to achieve and sustain an ATO.
• Serve as the primary security lead, coordinating with software and system architects to ensure design meets security controls.
• Oversee risk management and continuous monitoring to ensure controls meet compliance requirements.
