Job summary

Base-2 Solutions, LLC seeks an Elastic Search Engineer to join a high-energy platform engineering team focused on building and deploying cutting-edge technology stacks to support mission-critical Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) across the DoD and Intelligence Community.

The role emphasizes developing, deploying, and maintaining NoSQL databases within a Kubernetes microservice ecosystem and supporting GitOps in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s with 6+ years.
• Current DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CCNA Security, or CISSP).
• Ability to obtain and maintain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and container platforms (EKS, Rancher, RKE2).

Responsibilities

• Deploy, triage, debug, and maintain Elasticsearch and Redis.
• Design configuration management strategies across air-gapped networks.
• Partner with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities.
• Contribute to operational monitoring and proactive system notifications.
• Contribute to engineering documentation, diagrams, and models.
• Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, design sessions, bug triage.
