Job summary

Altamira Technologies Corporation seeks a DSP Software Engineer in Warrenton, VA to design and build software engines powering sensing and communication platforms. You will work in a Linux-centric environment, focusing on high-throughput data, low-latency code, and real-time data orchestration across DSP algorithms.

The role requires strong C/C++ and Python, experience with DSP processing tools, and proficiency in multi-threaded, networked systems. Candidate must be a U.S.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C/C++ and Python with professional software development experience.
• Experience with Linux systems, multi-threading, IPC, and socket programming.
• Familiarity with DSP frameworks (X-Midas, GNU Radio, REDHAWK).
• Experience implementing mathematical/scientific algorithms in code.
• Strong understanding of OO design, patterns, and DevOps/CI-CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain mission-critical applications using C++ for performance-intensive processing.
• Develop data orchestration for high-rate data streams over UDP/TCP with low latency.
• Create Python-based tools for automated testing, signal simulation, and benchmarking.
• Translate DSP algorithms (FFT, FIR filters, DDC) into scalable software.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with code reviews and Jira/Git workflows.
