Cherokee Strategic Edge seeks a Data Scientist to design, implement, and operate data management systems for intelligence needs. This on-site role in the Washington, DC area requires an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain a polygraph.

Estimated starting salary range is $110,000–$122,000; full-time benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K. Candidates should have strong data analytics, ML, and data-management skills to support multi-INT environments.

Qualifications

• Eight years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Skilled in data visualization and graphical applications, including Power BI and Tableau.
• Skilled in major data science languages, such as R and Python.
• Experience in managing and merging disparate data sources via R, Python, or SQL.
• Experience with statistical analysis and data mining algorithms.
• Experience with large data Multi-INT analytics, ML, and automated predictive analytics.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to lead teams and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis.
• Use scientific techniques to correlate data into narrative products for informed decisions.
• Proactively retrieve information from various sources and build AI tools to automate processes.
• Perform statistical analysis, apply data mining techniques, and build prediction systems.
• Design how data will be stored, accessed, and managed by different data regimes.
• Work with data users to determine and populate optimal data architectures and systems.
• Plan, design, and optimize data throughput and query performance.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
