Job summary

Amentum is seeking a CMAC Systems Administrator to support NORAD ITW/AA and NISSC II at Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station, Colorado. You will install OS software, troubleshoot system issues, configure and monitor servers, manage backups, and coordinate upgrades on secure networks.

This onsite role requires active TS/SCI eligibility, 5+ years general and 2+ years related experience, DoD IAT Level II (Sec+), Red Hat and Windows administration, VMware, and LAN/WAN knowledge.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• 5+ years general work experience.
• 2+ years directly related experience.
• Current DoD IAT Level II or higher (Sec+)
• Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments; Windows OS administration and hardware; VMware and system visualization; and LAN/WAN technologies.
• Red-hat or Linux knowledge.
• Understanding virtual machine and Remote Desktop.
• Windows System Administration experience or background with SPADOC or space situational analysis/space orbital.

Responsibilities

• Install operating system software, patches, and upgrades.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Configure, optimize, fine-tune, and monitor operating system software and hardware.
• Perform system backups, recovery, and server builds.
• Provide systems administrator support to systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for computer systems.
• Manage file servers and network access to include analyzing, troubleshooting, and documenting system anomalies.
• Perform and provides server, workstation, and system expertise including on-site and off-site travel.
• Coordinate and schedules system upgrades and maintenance.
• Provide guidance, direction, and training to others in the group. Serves as backup to other computer systems administrators.
• Perform and provides server and workstation expertise including on-site and off-site travel.
• Order replacement of new hardware and software including warranty claims.
