Job summary

Cornerstone Defense LLC seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer I to lead designing, implementing, and optimizing secure cloud environments across multiple classification domains. You will drive automation, governance, and cross-team collaboration to deliver scalable cloud infrastructures for mission-critical systems.

The role requires 4-7+ years in cloud engineering, strong AWS expertise, and proficiency in Python/Bash; security-focused with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph is needed to apply.

Qualifications

• 4-7+ years of proven cloud engineering experience in large-scale AWS deployments across multiple classification domains.
• Strong scripting in Python and Bash; hands-on with Linux/Windows Server in cloud environments.
• Expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, EBS) and IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
• Active CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) with at least one year before expiration; AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or AWS SysOps Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of secure, scalable cloud architectures.
• Evaluate and adopt new cloud technologies to enhance performance.
• Enforce cloud governance, compliance, and security standards across domains.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and management using Infrastructure-as-Code.
