Job summary

Assured Consulting Solutions seeks a Tier 3 Network Operations Engineer to support government and industry clients, onsite at Bolling AFB, Washington DC or Colorado Springs, CO. A U.S. citizen with TS/SCI clearance is required, including CI polygraph eligibility.

You will design, implement, and document network solutions, and collaborate with government customers and technical teams. Responsibilities include network design, deployment, troubleshooting, and generating deployment documents.

Qualifications

• IAT II and CCNA Certifications are required.
• Experience with government networks and SCIF environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of Cisco and Juniper devices and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Network implementation and installation of projects at sites or locales.
• Facilitate engineering design data calls and document implementations.
• Identify and recommend network changes to improve monitoring and operations.
• Troubleshoot network failures and accessibility issues.
• Develop network-related deployment documentation and designs meeting customer requirements.
• Lead testing of new/modified hardware or software for performance and interoperability.
• Travel to other sites for network operations and administration activities.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Network Administrator Level 3 to join the team.

As a Tier 3 Network Operations Engineer, you will be continuously challenged to solve complex tasks requiring extensive research, teamwork, and creativity. You will design and deliver solutions requiring a high level of coordination and technical ability. You will write high-level technical documents to articulate problems and solutions to an audience of varying technical backgrounds.

Under this program we support our intel customer across numerous operational locations. Our focus is to transform the organization’s technical services through the development of network standards, implementation of industry best practices, and integration of new technology and tools.

To accomplish this, the T3 Network Operations team is charged with the development of network standards, network design, implementation of configurations, and operation of systems enabling the customer to complete their mission.

Over the life of the contract, the team will drive continuous service improvement through technical modernization of customer LANs, WANs, UC, and video and streaming services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Network implementation and installation of technical projects within a site or locale.
• Facilitating engineering design data calls.
• Identify and recommend network changes that enhance operational efficiencies for network monitoring, management, and operations.
• Troubleshooting network failures and accessibility issues.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Develop network-related implementation and deployment documentation.
• Develop network designs that meet customer requirements efficiently and effectively.
• Lead research and testing of new or modified hardware or software products to determine performance and interoperability.
• Design and implement new solutions.
• Will require travel to other sites for network operations and administration activities.
• May require unpacking, moving network components of average weight and volume.

Required Qualifications

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with both Cisco and Juniper network devices
• Strong working knowledge of the various routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, 802.1x).
• In-depth knowledge of KG-175 Series TACLANES configuration process, fault isolation, and firmware upgrade procedures.
• Working knowledge of Cisco-ISE
