Job summary

Dark Wolf Solutions, LLC seeks a Data Engineer - SME to architect and lead enterprise-scale data platforms and data mesh initiatives for the defense and intelligence communities. You will set the enterprise data architecture strategy and govern data security in multi-cloud, air-gapped, and hybrid environments.

As the principal technical authority, you will interface with agency leadership to align data capabilities with mission objectives, drive SAFe-aligned delivery, and champion zero-trust

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with an active TS/SCI security clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 15+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with enterprise data architectures, data mesh, and multi-cloud deployments.
• Strong knowledge of lakehouse, data security, and encryption protocols.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, C++, Go.
• Kubernetes and DevSecOps experience.
• Experience with SAFe and Agile governance.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the end-to-end implementation of enterprise-scale, high-assurance data platforms and data mesh topologies.
• Serve as the principal technical authority on distributed data systems and real-time analytics.
• Mandate enterprise-wide data security standards and zero-trust governance.
• Set strategic roadmap for multi-cloud, hybrid, and air-gapped deployment methodologies.
• Interface with agency leadership and customer executives to align data capabilities with mission objectives.
