MANTECH in Chantilly, VA is seeking an experienced Application Developer to maintain, enhance, and develop new features for existing applications supporting national security and government operations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with 7+ years in IT, strong Java, HTML/CSS/JS, Spring, REST, SQL, Hibernate/JPA, Git, and Elasticsearch; active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 7 years of IT experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as Angular.
• Experience with the Spring Framework, RESTful services, SQL, and ORM libraries like Hibernate/JPA is required.
• Knowledge of Git for source code management and version control is necessary.
• Preferred qualifications include the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and Elasticsearch experience.
• An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is mandatory for this role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and enhance software systems and tools.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility within project constraints.
• Collaborate with team members, vendors, and end-users to develop new features and functionalities.
• Create and execute unit and integration tests; participate in functional and regression testing.
• Identify and correct errors by making appropriate changes and re-verifying outputs.
• Review help desk messages and troubleshoot production issues with other teams.
• Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and follow best practices for high-quality code.
• Deploy code across development, testing, and production environments using DevOps tools.
